The Beginnings

My father, Tony Layton, and myself, Zachary Layton, are rendering a 1982 Yamaha Virago XV 750. We started this project before the New Year of 2011, and have made quite a bit of progress throughout the year, with college, army camps, my father's new job, and him building a pool by himself. This blog, however, is not to gloat about all the obstacles that have been put in front of us to heed progress, but about the progress we have made so far.
As this blog progresses out of the bike's building stage, I'll cover the building of my father's BSA or whatever bike he decides to act upon, as well as the adventures we take with our iron horses. Keep posted for pictures of our progress, tips and ideas that we found helpful in building our Cafe Racer, and surely some great stories to be made. This is Zach Layton, over and out.
